
Sara López Marín is a Colombian musician based in New York city.
Started her career as a pianist, receiving her bachelor degree in Piano Performance from The University of Antioquia in 2017.
As a pianist she studied under the guidance of the masters Teresita Gómez and Ana María Ordúz.

Since 2016 has been exploring with composition and splicing in music wirtten for the scene. In 2020 received her degree as Master in Composition: Scoring for Film and Multimedia from New York University.

As a collaborator she has been involved in several student projects ranging from Documentaries, Short Films and Feature Films, providing inspiring original music that supports the director's vision.
She has also been involved in music recording and production.

Since 2012 has been a member of the research group "Músicas Regionales", an academic group that focuses on traditional Colombian and Latin -American music. As part of this group she helped develope the project "The river that flows singing. An ethnomusicological study of the oral tradition Romances of the midle Atrato River" sponsored by Colciencias and the University of Antioquia, whitch produced a book, a CD and an article co-authored by the members.
